The Madaba Plains Project studies long-term cultural and environmental changes in the highland plateau located between the cities of Madaba and Amman in the country of Jordan.  Hesban, Umayri, and Jalul are the three archaeological sites excavated by the Madaba Plains Project in Jordan.

Project Rainkeep is a developmental component of the Madaba Plains Project which aims to discover and disseminate best practices for restoring and reusing ancient water cisterns in the country of Jordan.

Common Ground Initiative is a university-wide endeavor on the campus of Andrews University that seeks to balance the negative media exposure in the public sphere about Muslims and the Middle East with a search for common ground.
