Proposal for Cultural and Environmental Heritage Education Center

Given the historical understanding this site has provided over the past three decades, and its cultural importance to Jews, Christians and Moslems, Tall Hisban is a prime location for a Cultural Heritage Education Center. Such a center would provide Jordanian citizens and foreign visitors with exhibits highlighting important lessons from the past  gleaned from the studies of the past three decades. Evidence indicates that Jews, Christians and Moslems once lived together in peace in this place, and pressing problems in Jordan today can sometimes be answered by ancient solutions, as demonstrated by Project Rainkeep.

Because the the site belongs to the Department of Antiquities, and both the Village of Hisban and the Department of Antiquities are eager to develop the site for tourism, most of the pieces are in place to begin such a Center. With the help of our Jordanian partners, preliminary plans will be drawn up this summer for use in planning exhibits and exhibition areas.
